Lisa's theme for her
Creative Exchange is "Your camera in one hand, your heart in the other" and believe me, my whole heart is in this photo (no processing done here).
After a really grey and dull week the sun was suddenly coming out on Saturday afternoon, melting almost all the snow we still had and uncovering this beauty above. I couldn't believe my eyes, grabbed my camera and was happily absorbed in taking photos, crouching and kneeing and trying several angles - very much to the amusement of some passers-by.
This photo has got me a stained jeans and a happy smile on my face and in my heart!
wonderful! sounds like you really did put your heart into this, I love this shot and isn't it so lovely to see such signs of spring!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Rosie. Not just the photograph, but how it came to be! So perfcet for The Creative Exchange, and I thank you so much for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
lisa.
Rosie, this is lovely, I really love the sunshine on the petals!
ReplyDeleteI can relate to the stained jeans. I been getting dirty a lot lately laying on the ground trying to get the right angle! It was worth it for this lovely flower photo!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, the joys of being a photobug! We all share the same happy stories! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little surprise for you!! Worth a few grass stains, I think!
ReplyDeleteRosie, this is such a cheery photo! The open petals of the crocus look like they are reaching out to embrace the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteOh my, is that a little crocus......my poor crocuses are buried under about 6 feet of snow in my rock garden along the front of my property. Will I ever see them? Until I do, I'll look at yours, Rosie. :)
ReplyDeleteI, too, must wait for my crocuses to break through the snow....although the white stuff isn't terribly deep anymore. Aren't they delightful flowers?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful capture. It's so heartening to see such beautiful flowers busting forth, a sign that spring is on the way.
ReplyDeleteOh beautiful - I've been sick all day so this lifts my spirits.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Rosie- I always love it when I can take a shot that needs nothing done to it- it's perfect as it is.
ReplyDeleteyou hav e the first flowers, I envy you. So lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove the flower! Wish we had some here.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet photo, Rosie! The first sign of spring -- how lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour flower looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect, sweet image!
ReplyDeleteRosie, i think you need to make a coffee table photo book filled with all your flower images. They are just gorgeous and always brighten my day!
ReplyDeletei'm so jealous...j/j! but, we barely get any snow around here & you had snow & A FLOWER? i haven't seen any blooms around here whatsoever!!! Beautiful capture...
ReplyDeleteCOME ON SPRING! =)
Very lovely image. If this was the saffron crocus you could be tossing the stamens into a pan of paella.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet, heartfelt shot. Signs of spring popping up. I have Crocus blooming around one of my trees as well. You've encouraged me to grab my macro lens and get there with my already stained jeans:)
ReplyDeleteWell my heart sings when I see this too. When you think that this little beauty has been growing despite being covered in a blanket of snow .... I'm still quite child-like with things like this - it still seems almost magical to me. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely Rosie, and so worth the grass stained jeans! LOL
ReplyDeleteI can smell the spring is comming ... I love it
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little capture...spring is coming :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing some new photos! Thanks for all the encouraging comments on my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the description of how you were taking this photo-the hell with what passer's by think....this is a crocus. High importance. Thanks for sharing. Still digging out from 2 ft of snow here. Hoping for some melting this weekend.
