It was really a wonderful day yesterday and I was so happy to get out from the office at least on time.
I enjoyed my photo walk, although somehow I had chosen a route where there weren't so many flowers around. I found this rather battered lavender - I wish you could smell it. Just to lean in close and inhale deeply was worth the photo!
I really wonder why I don't do that more often...
Have a wonderful day!
Looks like a beautiful walk - I won't dare go outside right now. Way too hot.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should all take time out to go and smell some lavender, the aroma is so calming isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI think your photo is lovely, Rosie. Very natural. Well done. :)
ReplyDeleteI go out and smell my lavender plant twice a day.
ReplyDeleteSo relaxing! You captured it so well!
Sounds like a wonderful and relaxing walk.. I just love lavender.. Your photos look wonderful..
ReplyDeleteHugs, Linda
Glad you got to enjoy the outdoors Rosie! I LOVE lavender...I miss mine so much, as it's all dried up now because of the heat. I just keep watering it in hopes that it will come back again next spring! Great shot.
ReplyDeleteI do love lavender and this is lovely, nothing nicer than brushing past lavender.
ReplyDeleteHi, Rosie, I am so glad I found your blog, lovely photos. Have missed seeing you on flickr and the Picture Classes with Tracey Clark. Hope you get to enjoy your summer eventho it sounds like you spend most of your days inside.
ReplyDeleteDO it....and take your camera. I like this image and so glad you got out of that office and filled your sinuses with something pleasant for a change.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got out for that walk! Battered or not, your lavender is pretty. We enjoyed seeing fields of it, when visiting friends out in WA. Stunning to see it in masses.
ReplyDeleteI almost feel the smell :) Do it more often !
ReplyDeleteLovely angle you chose. I spray lavender in my bedroom, such a relaxing summer smell. Thank you for the post. I hope you're able to get out of work on time more!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo Rosie! I love purple and green together.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so glad you were able to get away for a photo walk Rosie. You so deserve that time! This is a beautiful photograph. I cut a lot of lavender today, and the house now smells so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful weekend dear friend.

Gorgeous! Love the perspective.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shot, but I would just as soon look at a picture of it. I hate the smell of lavender, I think I'm allergic or something!
ReplyDeleteI *love* lavender, so yes, I can smell the smell. Last year I pulled out a bush from my patio garden (the only area I can manage more or less alone) because it had gone rampant. Sadly, the replacements in pots are quite pathetic in comparison and I do rather miss the big blousy beauty!
ReplyDeleteRe the air con in your last post ...would saline nasal spray help to keep you happy over the summer months??
Take care xo
So beautiful- I love that you can just venture out & have this beauty all around you.
ReplyDeleteAll of your photos are lovely. I'm doing a photography course next week - I hope by some miracle I can end up taking some photos as good as yours!
ReplyDeleteI love lavender! What a gorgeous photo, and sounds like a lovely way to escape! Thank you for your visit and lovely comment @ Chasing Rainbows!
