Ready For Tulips

After this weekend's roller coaster weather I'm so ready for tulips... I almost bought some last Thursday, when I saw buckets full of tulips in every colour you can think of at a local Farmers' Market. Today, I can't even remember why I didn't buy some, maybe the blue sky that day was enough to make me happy.

I brought my Christmas Rose in from my balcony for a little photo shooting and yes, that made me happy, too! Aren't those buds just beautiful? I'm so fascinated about how those blossoms fold out, change and develop.

Have a wonderful start into a colourful week - see you over at Lisa's to take a look at all those gorgeous submissions for this week's Creative Exchange.

  2. Rosie, they are beautiful. Yes. :) I always find myself fascinated with the way flowers unfold themselves too -very mysterious, and never within your sight - they are private in that way. Ha hah! I have just bought some buttercups - can't wait for them to transform behind my back so that I can shoot them with my camera. :)

  3. Your flowers are so pretty. I have a Christmas cactus blooming outside my front door. My question is "how do it know" (to bloom at Christmas every year)!

  5. That's not just any Christmas Rose: that is a beautiful variety.
I've just been looking out for mine in the garden, and they look pretty miserable compared to last year.
You must have looked after them very well indeed on your balcony.

  9. I love Christmas Rose , it is fantastic flower. Mine is suffering because here is n enough light for it but I hope it will survive until the spring comes that I can put it in to the soil outside.
