Ever since I took Darrah Parker's course
"Slice of Life Project" I'm drawn to look at people's feet - and I love to photograph them, too. Though it's still very hard for me to take pictures of people (yes, even if it's only their feet), but I do find it a bit easier when concentrating not on their faces but on the ground, hoping they won't notice my taking photos.
So here is another contribution for Justine's
"Movement in March" and I guess you have to be prepared to see a few more feet...
As I like the black and white version here, I'll also link it up to
Black and White Wednesday.
Have a wonderful day!
Interesting shot, Rosie...love the changing pattern in the sidewalk, too.
ReplyDeleteI find these shots interesting. Well done.
ReplyDeletegreat shot! how funny, I am the opposite - I've been put off feet by the slice of life but I love your shot!
ReplyDeleteI love how this makes you want to know where everyone is on their way to :)
ReplyDeleteI love this photo.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great capture, Rosie! I'm very shy about photographing people too.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful. I also tremble in fear at taking photos of strangers. Just cannot bring myself to do it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea - I'd never thought of taking photos of feet - but this is a great example of why I should give it a go.
ReplyDeleteI hate taking photo of people also.. But I must say your photo looks wonderful.. I love it..
ReplyDeleteHugs, Linda

Hi Rosie! I really like this. I love how you captured this shot, and I love the B&W. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love pictures of feet too. It's fun to do something unexpected and leave out the faces!
ReplyDeleteLove this perspective, Rosie and the processing fits it nicely. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI need to get to our downtown and do this before the month is over! I'm sure I will feel funny doing this as well- hope I don't get strange looks.
ReplyDeleteLove this! When I was in Paris for my honeymoon, I wanted to photograph all the people on the streets, but I didn't want to be obvious, so I started holding my camera at my hip and just pressing the shutter a bunch of times, so nobody knew I was taking photos. I got a lot of fun photos that way!
ReplyDeleteI find that photographing 'parts of people' sometimes more of a story than a straight on portrait. This is a fun shot!
