On The Streets


Ever since I took Darrah Parker's course "Slice of Life Project" I'm drawn to look at people's feet - and I love to photograph them, too. Though it's still very hard for me to take pictures of people (yes, even if it's only their feet), but I do find it a bit easier when concentrating not on their faces but on the ground, hoping they won't notice my taking photos.

So here is another contribution for Justine's "Movement in March" and I guess you have to be prepared to see a few more feet...

    This is wonderful. I also tremble in fear at taking photos of strangers. Just cannot bring myself to do it.

    Love this! When I was in Paris for my honeymoon, I wanted to photograph all the people on the streets, but I didn't want to be obvious, so I started holding my camera at my hip and just pressing the shutter a bunch of times, so nobody knew I was taking photos. I got a lot of fun photos that way!

    I find that photographing 'parts of people' sometimes more of a story than a straight on portrait. This is a fun shot!
