A Bit Odd

I'm so used to getting in close to my photography subjects that taking and putting up a photo like this feels rather strange and uncomfortable.

There was really nothing interesting or exciting for a close-up shot yesterday on my photo walk. I was, however, absolutely excited by the light when I saw the above scene through a fence. I'm not so sure whether this photo does really justice to what I had seen with my eyes, but maybe it's only a matter of getting used to it.

I'm off to link this up to Lisa's Creative Exchange and see what's up there already!

Have a wonderful week!

  21. Rosie, I feel the same way about my shots; if it's not up close and personal I feel like I don't have a connection to it. I'm trying to take more landscapes but it's hard because the urge to get close is so strong. I love what you captured here, though. The way the light is bathing those fronds is incredible.
