But I'll spare you a tirade of whining and sighing here - I'll be looking for something more colourful for my next post, or maybe I'll even discover a passion for black and white...

Have a wonderful week everyone!
I do love tree silhouettes, and this is simply gorgeous! Color and sun, however, do brighten ones soul, so I hope you get some sunshine soon. Lovely perspective on this great tree.
ReplyDeleteyour B&W is wonderful - I know this shows no color - but it does show plenty of beauty!
ReplyDeleteI love the sun too! The tree is beautiful...I find the bones of a tree gorgeous and ride around in the winter looking at them. Thanks for sharing this b/w beauty!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful image, Rosie! Sorry that you haven't gotten much sun recently -- I know that can be depressing. Just remember we're approaching the shortest day soon and we'll be heading back to more light and sunshine. Maybe a quick trip to the So Cal is what you need!
ReplyDeleteRosie, I think this is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a beautiful old tree, and there is a wonderful mood to this photograph.
Hope you get a bit of sun soon. It is VERY cold here right now. xo.
I can so understand November getting to you. We haven't had much sunshine here, either. Beautiful image!!
ReplyDeleteGreat subject for a B&W.
ReplyDeleteWell, I for one love your tree silhouette. The lack of color allows me to focus on the character of the tree. I think it's wonderful. Hope your world is colorful again soon. :)
ReplyDeleteB&W is just perfect for november, a little rest before
ReplyDeletethe colorful christmastime is coming.
What an incredibly gorgeous silhouette!
ReplyDeleteHi Rosie! Well if there is any way to embrace this time of year, it would be with tree branches! Your image is absolutely striking!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are making the best of the situation because this is very lovely. It is the essence of Winter, stark, strong and quite.
ReplyDeletePerfect for November - I like the darkness of it!
ReplyDeleteI love tree silhouettes and yours is perfection!!
ReplyDeleteWhen the rain and wind came, most of the leaves went.... now we're having rather pleasant weather, but things are just drab. It doesn't look as if we're going to get snow for another 10 days, either!
ReplyDeleteI read once to look for the mauve colors in the winter trees. I now do that all the time. I may not see mauve in one tree that stands alone but when i look into a grove or a forest of trees i see all kinds of colors.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous tree silhouette, Rosie !
ReplyDeleteLots of rain here lately, hope the sun is coming soon too ...
Nice evening,
Sylvia
Oh fab! I love trees! Bare trees, any trees. Bare ones have more character. Great perspective.
ReplyDeleteoh I love this, fantastic! I don't envy you the dark winter months, I'm very glad to be in Sydney where it is warm and sunny
ReplyDeleteBeautiful silhouette! While there's a lot to love about a bare winter tree - I understand what you're saying about dark, cold & grey :)
ReplyDeleteI remember those grey Novembers in Germany. Here in California it is still very colorful - today was the first cloudy day. We are desperately waiting for rain!
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks awesome!
Yes, I know what you mean about November blahs! But, until the colour returns, tree silhouettes really are wonderful.
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful tree silhouette!
ReplyDeleteA passion for black and white would be just the ticket - I love this stark silhouette, it has its own power and beauty!
