A Tough Decision

So much is coming my way at the moment - things that need my full attention - that I have to accept I can't handle it all. That's why I've come to the decision that I will sign off for a few weeks here to take care of things and then also to take a vacation.

This photo is one of my August sunshine photos and I'll link it up to Lisa's wonderful Creative Exchange, which I will miss just as much as I miss you all already!

Have a good time everyone! And I hope you won't forget me in the meantime...

Heart And More...

Lisa's theme for her Creative Exchange is "Your camera in one hand, your heart in the other" and believe me, my whole heart is in this photo (no processing done here).

After a really grey and dull week the sun was suddenly coming out on Saturday afternoon, melting almost all the snow we still had and uncovering this beauty above. I couldn't believe my eyes, grabbed my camera and was happily absorbed in taking photos, crouching and kneeing and trying several angles - very much to the amusement of some passers-by.

This photo has got me a stained jeans and a happy smile on my face and in my heart!

Macro Friday

Just a quick macro for Macro Friday at Blogging From Bolivia - with some of my orchids in full bloom I couldn't resist.

I hope to catch up on your blogs and comments over the weekend! Have a wonderful Friday!

Sunday Creative

Justine is hosting the Sunday Creative today and her prompt is "Indulge". I hope you are not bored by the fact that I come up with yet another flower shot but inspiration seems to be a bit slow today for something really brilliant.

Here is my train of thought how it meets the definition of indulge: I "yielded to my whim" of taking a flower shot and I also was "lenient" towards myself as I took the time to take this shot despite that fact that we will be having guests in short time and I should rather be in the kitchen at the moment.

And I even include a black and white version to yield to my wish to participate in Justine's November in Black and White.

Have a wonderful Sunday and indulge yourself with going over to Justine's blog and enjoy the entries.

Flowers on Saturday

I discovered the challenge Flowers on Saturday at Ewa's blog and decided to take a little good-bye shot of these yellow flowers on my balcony. I was lucky to have a bit of sunshine while I was taking this photo, so they could present themselves at their best at what was probably their last shooting this year.

Have a wonderful weekend and a happy Halloween!

Change of Plans

Today, I planned on taking macros of flowers. I saw it all in my mind, knew exactly, where I would head - there is a spot where still a few roses are giving their best and a few other flowers had survived the rain. I even thought about submitting a photo to Lisa Chaos's Macro Monday, which I had read about in Justine's blog.

BUT... there's a stormy wind today, no chance to get even one decent shot of the flowers. So there I was, disappointed, looking for something not so wind-blown and it took a long walk in that cold wind until I found it. It is a photo of a flower all the same, but one not waving vehemently in the wind but floating gently in the water.

Have a happy Monday and maybe an alternative for your plans up your sleeve!
