TV and Textures

I guess I'm the last person on earth who hasn't watched even one episode of Downton Abbey. Can you imagine...!

I've seen it mentioned here and there, but didn't pay much attention. Then I read about it more often and now it seems to be all over the place. Kim even created two beautiful sets of textures dedicated to the TV show - the Downton collections.

For today's Texture Tuesday, Kim asked us to use at least one texture of her Downton Collection - I used two layers of "Sybil" on this photo:

The set is really marvelous and I simply love it. The Downton II Collection is equally fantastic - I used two layers of "Violet" and one layer of "Anna"on this photo:

You'll find more photos processed with the Downton II Collection here.

Considering the beauty of these textures, I guess I have some TV work to do - as I hear, there are 3 seasons to catch up on.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Well, one reason these two turned out so wonderfully is because the photographs are excellent! The delicacy of the top one takes my breath away. The textures made them even more stunning. Yes, Downton Abbey is my favorite show and it certainly delivers entertainment! Watch out, you will get addicted :)

I do love how you've composed the petals, Rosie! Beautiful use of the textures, too. (I own DVDs of the first three seasons of Downton Abbey now; I hope to watch from beginning to end this summer----I missed a few episodes here and there over the seasons.)

Rosie, these are so very beautiful. Freesia is one of my very favorite flowers. Just love the smell.

I am with you on Downton Abbey. I caught one episode completely by mistake a couple of weeks ago, and I can see why everyone is so "hooked" on it. The one episode I saw was really good.

Have a wonderful evening, dear friend.

What beautiful freesias! I love how you highlighted their colors with your chosen textures. I just started watching Downton Abbey this season to see what the fuss was all about. Its a bit silly in its multiple dramas but addictive anyway. I do love Kim's DA textures though and hope she comes up with a few variations for the dastardly men :)

Oh, Rosie, these are gorgeous! What great texture work you've done to enhance the images. I think you've mastered it. I LOVE the colors of the second one! I haven't watched a single episode yet either.

What a heavenly first image which is perfect for dear Sybil. And the one for Anna is also spot on. Not knowing the characters it's amazing that you picked the perfect photo for each namesake. Hope you will watch the show. It took me a few episodes to get into it, but the payoff was well worth it. Enjoy!

Oh Rosie! These are so magnificent! I love the textures on them. We haven't watched that show either, but have "talked" about it and how we are going to have to "stream" them online so we can get caught up with everyone! Lol

So lovely, Rosie! I wanted to thank you for dropping in at my site, and of course, return the visit and I'm glad I did! And no, you are not the last person on earth who hasn't watched even one episode of Downton Abbey! lol! I watched maybe 10 minutes of it recently, and thought it interesting so I hope to go back sometime and catch up with those first 3 seasons, too! Must be very good with so many 'addicted' to it! I do love the texture sets Kim created in honor of the show, and you did such a beautiful job with them here! Have a wonderful weekend! ~ Deborah
