Just in time for the longest day of the year, weather changed back to cold and wet again - so much for a lovely late sunset or later a spectacular super moon.
However, I managed to squeeze in a photo walk last week and here's proof that we had summer this year :
I used Kim's textures "maybe" and "antiqued edge" for Texture Tuesday |
Have a wonderful week and let's see what further records we are in store for!

Awwww, Rosie, don't lose hope.
I don't think we set any records here, but surely we did not have a spring. Over the past week, the weather has gotten really warm with lots of sunshine.
I am sending some your way! xo.
That is an amazing flower. Our "summer", so far has been rain.
Yes, it's certainly been a year of extremes here too. Looonnggg winter, short, wet spring and now temps are about 10 degrees higher than normal. But you flower is lovely!
Visiting from Texture Tuesday.
I agree with Lisa...hopefully, the weather will right itself and you will have summer! We seem to be having summer in spurts--3 or 4 days at a time and the we return to chilly rain. Love this little dianthus(?) arrangement!
Remember ... 'The sun'll come out ... tomorrow!' It will eventually. Beautiful dianthus here. Excellent processing.
Lovely purple colour <3
So lovely, Rosie !
Dianthus is one of my favorite flowers, I've picked some today to take some photos ...
Cold and rainy here too, hope summer will begin soon ...
Nice week,
Sylvia
beautiful photo, and hope you get some summer soon!
what a great shot of pink! and I don't know where you are...but here in my little place we are having the best June ever - very unusual for us in the NW!
So vibrant, and wonderful bokeh!
This is one WOW image, color is just wonderful.
This photograph pops with incredible colour and vibrance! Don't lose hope on summer...I think it's going to be "less than we hoped for" in many places this year. The trick is to make the "good" ones really count!
Yes, we have the same thing going on with the weather. Love your cheerful little flower, though. That colour is gorgeous and I love the detail on the petals. Great use of texture too.
Pretty little purple blooms Rosie -- the weather has been something other than expected I agree!
Hang in there, Rosie! It sounds like climate change is not favoring your area. I hope summer returns soon to you soon! In contrast, I blogged about how excited I got about the rain here. Your sweet flowers are so pretty and cheerful!
Oh, thank you for this lovely picture despite the nutty weather! We've also been facing a lot of soggy days in recent weeks, though a sudden burst of warm sun has also happened. I wish I could share it across the web!
Oh I know what you mean about the weather....rain, rain go away, but be sure and return for another day. What a beautiful image you captured for your giggle one day of summer. Hope many more beautiful days return for you.
Beautiful. Love the color against the dark green background.

Beautiful color! I love the purple shades against the green.
This is the first year that I have not had to drag out the sprinklers!
