Actually, I hadn't planned on participating in
Texture Tuesday this week. Somehow, I did't feel I had a photo, that was speaking to me to use textures on, and there was no time for playing around with textures. And I don't have a pool of textured photos I could go back to, when I need one quickly (maybe I should start one to make things easier...) I wasn't even sure, if I would manage to squeeze in a post today.
But after reading
Kim's story I wanted to at least send a little message, knowing that today it's not about a perfect photo or some fantastic texture processing, it's about showing love and compassion. And so I'm sending loving thoughts and warm hugs to Kim and John and their families.

This is so beautiful and heartfelt, Rosie. I think the capture is just perfect. I did not know about Kim's story until now, thank you for sharing it here.
what a sweet gesture and lovely image!
Very lovely!
Love the choice of subject-well spotted and captured, with or without texture. I've never paid attention enough to see something like this on the beach.
Wonderful texture work and a beautiful symbol. Best regards, Synnöve

Amazing! This is a great image.
Wonderful. And the love comes through clearly with the heart shape of the shell.

When I first saw the little thumbnail on my phone I thought it looked like a moth. How wonderfully interesting that a first glance all is not what it seems. Really original work.
thanks for the link I just read about Kim's husband, how terribly sad. I love your shot and texture
