Despite the cold temperatures and the lack of sunshine, this cornflower decided to bloom in November, which is really not typical for cornflowers (at least not in my corner of the world)... and so I thought this brave little warrior deserves some spotlight here...

Have a wonderful week everyone and perhaps a nice little surprise, too!

Don't you love surprises like this? Hooray for the lovely and brave cornflower! Beautiful composition and processing, Rosie.
And she is a WOW floral!! I ADORE this shade of purple, and what a nice surprise! Beautiful!!
Bachelor's buttons always bring me right back to Grandma's garden. Love that shade of blue...hmmm, should I work it into a painting? :) Thanks for stopping by an commenting on my blog!
What a lovely splash of colour! Great find, I smiled as soon as I saw it. Love the colour and your texture work is beautiful. :)
Don't you just love brave little flowers that do this? This one is a real beauty! Enjoy her while she lasts.
How precious! I hope you are having a good week. :)
Late bloomers can be flowers too! Glad you got this little blue surprise and that you shared it.
One of my favorite colors of blue what a welcome surprise for you to have this little beauty show up for you in November.
Wow...what a wonderful find!
You found some color, my friend!!!
And what a beautiful color it is.
I love the simplicity, Rosie, and I'll just bet this little flower was just waiting for you! xo.

Goodness gracious that is so pretty and vibrant! Can't ask for a brighter, more beautiful subject on a cold winter day. Great job!

Such a great find on your patio…the color is brilliant and the texture works so well with it…
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such a lovely comment..
I'm assuming that our Bachelor Buttons are in the same family....they grow wild, but only during warm weather. My little Pincushion flower still has a bloom or two on it, but it was 17 degrees F this morning, so there isn't going to be much left above ground!
Cornflowers are my favourite ...Yours is gorgeous! The Deep, Deep blue color, and the pretty, lilac Shades in between!
What a sweet little brave beautiful warrior you have!! Hope you enjoyed her while she lasted. My flowers have all disappeared due to the hard freezes we have had lately!!
Very deserving of the spotlight and you captured this brave one beautifully! A lovely sight to see after being away from the online world for a few weeks:)
Such a sweet surprise.. So pretty my friend. I do hope you are having a good week and I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Hugs~
