Heart And More...

Lisa's theme for her Creative Exchange is "Your camera in one hand, your heart in the other" and believe me, my whole heart is in this photo (no processing done here).

After a really grey and dull week the sun was suddenly coming out on Saturday afternoon, melting almost all the snow we still had and uncovering this beauty above. I couldn't believe my eyes, grabbed my camera and was happily absorbed in taking photos, crouching and kneeing and trying several angles - very much to the amusement of some passers-by.

This photo has got me a stained jeans and a happy smile on my face and in my heart!

Weekend

After another week of too much work, too little time for what I'd love to do and an emergency appointment with my dentist I'm really ready for the weekend... I plan to pour myself a glass of wine this evening and relax!

So just a quick macro of the most important tool for my evening plans - which I'll link up to Laura's Macro Friday. And I'm so glad to contribute a few patterns and repetitions for Justine's February theme with this shot, as well!

Another One

I haven't participated in Lisa's Creative Exchange for quite a while now, due to time issues and then somehow nothing seemed to qualify for the challenge (in my eyes, not Lisa's I must add!).

So, what's so creative in yet another tulip shot? - nothing really, I must admit, only that I put my whole heart into this photo. Just looking at those flowers on a grey and dreary day cheers me up and although I'm so stressed out at the moment I took the time to set up the tripod and enjoyed having a little photo shoot with them. And to perfect my creative feeling I edited the photo in Photoshop Elements and added one of Kim Klassen's textures to it.

So - sufficiently creative or not - I decided to link this up to the Creative Exchange today and I'm looking forward to seeing all the other entries.

Colourful Wednesday

Just a quick colourful "Hello" from my tulips to brighten the day! I couldn't bring myself to convert the photo into black and white for Black and White Wednesday... but I think it displays a few patterns and repetitions for Justine's theme.

Weekend Flowers

I'm still feeling a bit worn out after a week of too many to-do's and no time - and in the end no energy - for photography (though I did take a photo or rather a snapshot a day) and for blogging. I had planned on at least participating at Macro Friday but got a last minute appointment for an overdue haircut instead. Looking in the mirror I'd rather had taken those macros...!

Unfortunately, the next few weeks won't be much better with regards to the workload, so I may not be here as often as I'd like to, as much as I miss it and you.

It's Macro Friday again at Blogging From Bolivia and I chose to take a macro of one of my notebooks. I simply love beautiful stationery and I couldn't resist when I saw this one.

Do you know that: you hear a song and don't get it out of your head for hours or even days? Well, I didn't even hear the song but read the caption of Laura's photo yesterday, and somehow this song has stuck in my head. No wonder I stumbled upon a heart in search for my daily picture...

The background isn't so appealing (I added one of Kim Klassen's textures to make up for that) and I'm not really satisfied with this photo, but it's the only one I got today. I hope tomorrow will be a bit more inspired!

A Pattern?

I must confess I had something completely different in my mind for the start of Justine's February theme "Patterns and Repetitions"... I was thinking along architectural lines, when my eyes fell on my withering tulips - and then I suddenly saw a kind of pattern there!
