Thank You

Although it was last week that Lisa had asked for our favourite photo 2011, I decided to show you another one. A flower, of course...!

Thank you all so much for your wonderful and encouraging comments and emails! I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate them - your are best!

It's already the second week of January and what is quite unusual for me is that I haven't taken up my DSLR so much these days. I'm now a proud owner of an iPhone (I think I must have been the last person on earth to join...) and I have been playing around with Instagram these days. Justine encouraged me to try it and now I'm hooked... ;-) It's really fun and if you'd like to connect with me there, you'll find me @rosiegrey.

Solitary Rose

It's Mid-November, but I still found a single rose on a walk these days  - unbelievable, isn't it?

As I liked the brown tones in the photo, I added two layers of Kim Klassen's free texture "Phoebe" (multiply at 100 % and soft light at 65 %) to emphasize those. Now I'll hop over to Kim's Café to link this up to today's Texture Tuesday.

Another Rose

Roses don't get much of a chance to show off their beauty this year with all the rain we've had over the last weeks. So I decided to provide a platform for those rare beauties and there is no better one than Lisa's Creative Exchange.

Last Ode To Roses?

Maybe not yet...!

I was out trying to take a few photos of those colourful maple leaves when I was attracted by these roses. Several large bushes of roses still displaying their beauty despite the cold and rainy weather of the last days and some of them still ready to bloom!

I decided to let them have the stage today to honour their beauty and stamina, wishing you a wonderful Thursday!

A little "Hello"

As this wet and cold Monday still sees me on my couch with tea and medication I decided to just post a picture that reminds me of a warm and sunny day!
