Clueless

Texture by Kim Klassen

I was searching for a birthday present when Mickey's large questioning eyes met mine. I had to take a picture of it (actually it's a notebook on display at a stationery department), as this shows exactly how I'm feeling today... with big question marks all over me. Clueless and uninspired and discontent. Do you have such days, too?

A strong wind busted my plans for flower photography today leaving me with no idea what to take pictures of. How did I ever survive winter without those beautiful flowers everywhere? What did I take photos of all those months? Oh, well, you're right - I'm a bit grumpy today...

I still don't have that birthday present but at least a photo for today and a little contribution to Lisa's Creative Exchange. ...and I do feel a bit better now!

A perfect image for this post! We all feel uninspired sometimes, Rosie. I'm sorry about the weather. (Yesterday it hailed here and my tomato plants didn't like it one bit -- neither did I!)
I'm sure you'll get over the blahs soon and find something that inspires you and gets you excited.
Have a good day!

I do have such days and I should try to write about them like you have. I really like your blog - very clean. Thanks for stopping by mine and leaving such a lovely comment!

First and foremost, sending you big hugs Rosie! I think everyone has these days from time to time. I know I sure do. As a matter of fact I am about to have one any day now as the forecast tells of rain for the next 7 days! This kind of spoils some of the plans I had, but you know, if it were not for days like you are having, we would not appreciate the good days so much. Cliche', but true!

Now, c'mon, let's see just a little smile? :-)
Perfect!!!

Thank you so much for linking up today my friend!

Hope the day gets better for you as it goes on.

Rosie you "made it work". I like this-inspiration is a funny thing, comes and goes. I feel like I've been without it most of the time, and yet people say to me my images are getting better. Curious indeed.
I hope the weather improves for flower hunting. I took almost zero pics yesterday and we are forecasted drizzle all week. Sigh. Going to need to dig deep. Hope you've found your stride again.

I definitely have those kind of days!
I like how the texture looks on the photo. Very vintage looking!

Hoping your day gets a little brighter. *Hugs*

Love it, Rosie......and yes I question a lot of things and have been a bit blue lately with all these dreary, rainy days. It will get better.

Ha! I think I mention the wind factor in pretty much every post I publish lately! It makes for some very challenging photography and I so wish we could have one day with no wind before the spring flowers disappear (oh wait, I already said that today!!!)

BUT it is spring, the sun is shining and so far no Texas real heat to speak of so I am happy - but that Mickey face certainly sums up my mood some days :-)

well, unusual, but I like it. :)
Hope you found a suitable present.

I think everyone can empathize with you! Mickey certainly illustrates that feeling! Cute shot!

I think the weather last week had everyone in the dumps. But the sun was shining today, so at least I felt much better! Hope you can look forward to some nice days soon.

Very cute shot and great texturing. :)

I feel uninspired a lot of the time too...I think that's mostly because of the weather though. I'm wondering what I did before flowers too :)

Seems lately either the wind or work is interfering with my photography! I can so relate. Love this vintage looking shot, though!

This is good, Rosie :)
I know this feeling well but I'm sure your inspiration will soon come bouncing back!

Thanks for the laugh! I certainly do have those days ( all too regularly) glad to see that even Mickey does too, makes me feel so much better!

I have those days, too... they're not easy, but I muddle thru!

Gotta love Mickey!!! =)

I know what you mean about missing the beauty of flowers in the winter! That's when I visit the florist:)

Somehow, I missed this post!!! Love it! I've been grumpy for quite awhile now.... today, it was beautiful out and I had my long lens on for some good floral close-ups. On the computer monitor, they aren't sharply focused, probably a combination of a breeze and my not-so-steady hands with that lens! I'm grumpy, too. ;-_

Your photo did make me smile. I seem to be having a lot of grumpy days recently. Since coming back from holiday I have lost inspiration. There doesnt seem to be anything new in the garden to photograph. I've read professionals also have bad days. So we just need to ride it out!

Phew! I just went through a whole stage of "what in the world am I doing with this camera???" There's a big question - what's the point? Yikes - practicality on a severe level was trying to strangle me. Then, I found myself at "Maria's" blog. (mmmm, the link is on my photo journal...) I was so refreshed and edified by seeing the world through her purple hued glasses!!! I love photography - so do you, eh? Courage and onward we go!

The wind has been driving me nuts, too! I've been waiting, all this long winter, for flowers and spring, etc. and it's constantly windy! (It keeps the bugs at bay, though. That's good!) Someone suggested a little stake or stick with pipe cleaner on it that I could put just out of sight - it cuts down on the swaying, at least. I haven't tried it, yet, though.... =]

Best wishes, friend on the journey with me!

Love, Katy Noelle xo
