Out of the Blue

I really thought I've had my share of sinusitis last year, well, obviously not...

What started with a sore throat in the middle of the night developed into a full-blown sinusitis within a few hours. After two rounds of antibiotics and some other medication I'm finally back here - still shaky and not yet able to spend long times in front of the screen. So it may take a while until I can make the round catching up on everyone.

On a lighter note, I'd like to share a wonderful experience I had last week. I was the lucky winner of the book "Flavor for Mixed Media" by the wonderful artist Mary Beth Shaw. The book, however, "got lost" on it's way to me - the package was cut open. I contacted Mary Beth about some delivery specifics I needed for a complaint I intended to file with the post office.

And guess what - Mary Beth sent me the book again together with some lovely stencils and wouldn't hear anything of my participating in the costs! I'm really blown away by her kindness and generosity!

I think that's reason enough to put this peony (one of my favourite flowers) up to Lisa's Creative Exchange to thank Mary Beth with all my heart.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Glad to hear you are on the mend and it's good to see you back. I have been prone to sinusitis in the past, so I really feel for you.

I love your capture!

Wow, now that is "above and beyond," Rosie. Both your beautiful photograph here, and Mary Beth's kindness. I just looked at the book on Amazon, and it looks wonderful.

Thank you so much for sharing this today at The Creative Exchange, and you do whatever you need to do to get yourself all better!

I love your peony -- I bought two bunches this week, I love them so much -- (they don't grow here in California).
