Red on Wednesday

Texture by Kim Klassen

So it's Wednesday already and I missed Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday...

The challenge was to present something red, processed with one of her textures. As I have this beautiful red dahlia here ready, I thought I'd put it up nevertheless, even with a one day delay. Sometimes time just flies...!

Have a great day!

I know why people love dahlias! (Personally, I don't want any flower that I have to dig up in the fall.) This is a glorious blossom...and a glorious color!

A beautiful flower, Rosie. I've never had luck with dahlias, for some reason.

Beautiful. Love the color and texture.

Stunning contrast. When I see a dahlia I always want to touch them. The blooms are so stiff and solid. They never look real to me.

I like the angle you took your photo from Rosie, it shows a more three dimensional image.
