Too windy...

modern building clouds and textures by Kim Klassen
Taken with my iPhone - Textures by Kim Klassen
Yes, it has definitely been much too windy to get a decent flower shot these days and so I decided to try something new. Buildings have the advantage that they don't move in the wind - at least not normally...

For this image I decreased the saturation a bit and then used Kim's textures Cool Grunge and KK2 - that's it. It amazes me that it looks a bit like a sketch.

Enjoy the last day of July and have a great start into August, where I'm sure we'll all meet for August Break! Now off to see all the beautiful pictures over at Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday.

Very cool image, Rosie! I like the composition and processing. It's fun to try a new subject, isn't it?

Neat image, great processing...and believe it or not here in the windy city, Chicago, our buildings do sway in the high winds...hee hee!!

And PS, thanks for the reminder about the August Break...I love Susannah Conway, read her book.

That's really cool Rosie! I used to hate that wind when we lived in Las Vegas...makes it so hard to take macro flower shots!

It is so annoying when it is windy and you want to take flower pictures isn't it?
You did a great job with that tall building.
Can you really believe it it the first day of August tomorrow?

I totally get stuck in a flower texture rut. This inspires me to look for something else to shoot!
