Heart And More...

Lisa's theme for her Creative Exchange is "Your camera in one hand, your heart in the other" and believe me, my whole heart is in this photo (no processing done here).

After a really grey and dull week the sun was suddenly coming out on Saturday afternoon, melting almost all the snow we still had and uncovering this beauty above. I couldn't believe my eyes, grabbed my camera and was happily absorbed in taking photos, crouching and kneeing and trying several angles - very much to the amusement of some passers-by.

This photo has got me a stained jeans and a happy smile on my face and in my heart!

I can relate to the stained jeans. I been getting dirty a lot lately laying on the ground trying to get the right angle! It was worth it for this lovely flower photo!

What a beautiful little surprise for you!! Worth a few grass stains, I think!

Rosie, this is such a cheery photo! The open petals of the crocus look like they are reaching out to embrace the sunshine!

Oh my, is that a little crocus......my poor crocuses are buried under about 6 feet of snow in my rock garden along the front of my property. Will I ever see them? Until I do, I'll look at yours, Rosie. :)

I, too, must wait for my crocuses to break through the snow....although the white stuff isn't terribly deep anymore. Aren't they delightful flowers?

What a beautiful capture. It's so heartening to see such beautiful flowers busting forth, a sign that spring is on the way.

Great shot Rosie- I always love it when I can take a shot that needs nothing done to it- it's perfect as it is.

Very lovely image. If this was the saffron crocus you could be tossing the stamens into a pan of paella.

What a sweet, heartfelt shot. Signs of spring popping up. I have Crocus blooming around one of my trees as well. You've encouraged me to grab my macro lens and get there with my already stained jeans:)

Well my heart sings when I see this too. When you think that this little beauty has been growing despite being covered in a blanket of snow .... I'm still quite child-like with things like this - it still seems almost magical to me. Beautiful.
