Macro Friday

The weather is really ghastly at the moment and being confined to indoor shooting I decided to take a macro today for Macro Friday at Blogging From Bolivia. This photo shows one of my finds during warmer times at the beach.

I keep the shells in an open wooden box and I must admit that my macro lens demonstrated very adamantly that I should dust more intensely... I tried to hide that fact by using one of Kim Klassen's textures on the photo. Wouldn't it be great if that worked in reality, too?

Have a wonderful weekend!

I'm laughing about the dust. I aways think the same thing when I take indoor macro shots. Of course, I live in the desert, so it doesn't matter what I do, everything always has a layer. That's my excuse, anyway. :-) Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful, Rosie! Such warm, summer tones. We're having dismal foggy days here too, so a glimpse of summer is appreciated. Happy weekend to you!

Wonderful photo. I'll have to remember to add a texture to hide the dust.

Ah, summer sun. The sound of seagulls. I can't wait to drive (DRIVE!!) we live close enough to drive to the ocean in about 3 hours! And I plan on making several trips this summer. Might even be fun to capture the beach in the off season. Thanks for the idea! :)

You made me chuckle with your remark about hoping that textures could work in real life the way they do in photos! :) The same thought actually crossed my mind. Great macro. =)

Yep, perfect post for the 'missing the summer' winter that I find myself trapped in. Love the summer tones and the reminder of warm days to come.
