Bittersweet Day
The last 6 months my husband had been training with an admirable enthusiasm - his goal: to participate at a triathlon that took place yesterday. He was in a really good shape and so looking forward to the event... and then he caught a very bad cold. He had hoped up to the last day but unfortunately it was not possible for him to start.
I think you can imagine his disappointment! We went there, anyway, to cheer on the team he was training with. He put all his energy in waving and clapping and shouting. Everyone of this team finished and the team spirit was fantastic.
Today, his cold is much worse than yesterday, but he just said to me that it was worth it. And guess what - he's already making plans about a triathlon next year...

I am so in awe of anyone that participates in triathlons!
It takes so much physical work, but so much of it is mental also.
I am so sorry he got sick just before it, and hopefully he's all better soon.
As for next year... GOOD FOR HIM!!!! No time like the present to start planning!!
what a fantastic shot! your poor husband, doing all that training! could you have gone in his place?? maybe next year. Love this shot
What a great action shot! And sorry about the triathlon - but how awesome to be in such great shape! That is always a "win-win".
such a great shot! wow
What a super shot - all of those happy "clones" and the water droplets spraying everywhere. So much action and excitement!
Awesome action. I can feel the force of the legs jumping on the water and the water hitting me. Hope your hubby feels better. What a team player anyway.
Such a wonderful shot, Rosie! Your husband's spirit is amazing - I'm sure it helped the team! Perhaps both of you can do it next year :)
